Who We Are

Kane County Christian Homeschoolers is a Christian home education group with the following purposes:

1. To provide support to Christian parents who are or will be teaching their children at home.

2. To provide a resource library with information on curriculum and teaching aids as well as a variety of educational books and materials.

3. To provide information on our present legal rights and any relevant new legislation.

4. To provide opportunities for our children to interact with others who are being taught at home, through planned educational and recreational activities.

We are a fellowship of homeschooling families, and we are affiliated with Illinois Christian Home Educators and ascribe to their general evangelical statement of faith.

For new members, annual dues are $25 any time of the year. For returning members, dues are $35 for the year, with a $10 discount for early registration when postmarked on or before July 31, 2006. Members receive an information packet, a monthly newsletter, a directory of members, library privileges, phone chain/email messages, and membership card. Also available to members is participation in field trips, learning co-ops (music, nature, crafts, languages, art, to name a few possibilities), family picnics and social activities, seasonal holiday parties, a yearbook, student programs, an 8th grade and senior graduation, an annual moms' retreat, and educational activities.

What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes completed and final revelation. The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and in part: including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical details.

God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God in human flesh being fully God and fully man except without sin.

All men are in violation of God's righteous requirements and His Holy Character both by nature and act; and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross - the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.

Salvation is offered as a free gift; free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.
