Anti-Solicitation Policy

The spirit of the KCCHS policy for business solicitation has previously been stated in the KCCHS Membership Directory by the statement "for personal/educational use only; do not use for solicitation." The policy statement that follows more fully develops the intent of that original statement by clarifying the intent and provides examples and exceptions.

The KCCHS Leadership Team believes that it is essential that membership in KCCHS be used solely for the purpose of assisting families in pursuing their Christian home education goals without the encumbrances of solicitations, whether home-based or otherwise.

Therefore, the membership directory and email list shall not be used for solicitation. The registration form for KCCHS membership allows members to provide a short statement regarding services or products that the family offers. This information (after possible editing by the leadership team) is printed in the annual KCCHS Membership Directory under the sub-heading " Services " and then categorized in the Member Services list in the back of the Directory.

The directory and email list shall also not be used as a source of names to give to sales people as prospective contacts.

Furthermore, KCCHS sponsored events shall be free of solicitations from members and non-members alike. Only approved, not-for-profit educational services or products conducted as part of KCCHS sponsored events are allowed (e.g. Field Trips, God's World, Scholastic Books, etc.) One noted exception will be for guest speakers, who will be allowed to sell educational based products after giving an educational presentation (not a sales pitch) to the group.

We apologize, not for the policy, but for any revocation of any privileges previously enjoyed by some members because of unclear or inconsistent application of any written or oral policies previously stated.
