Support Group Disclaimer

The leadership team is aware that there are deep personal needs in some member families. Our support group mission is to support and facilitate a family's vision to home educate. We are not called or equipped to meet the spiritual needs of the members. We can not take the place of the local church family and personal relationships with other believers.

If you find yourself and/or your family involved in serious struggles and needs, your first recourse should be your pastor. Your local church is the ideal place to begin because the pastoral staff should know the entire family structure.

Home schooling will not "fix" broken, hurting marriages, rebellious children, codependent relationships, etc. The additional pressures of home teaching may in fact highlight and exacerbate them.

If you have been called to home teach, you can stand on His promise that he will also equip you and your family. (Philippians 1:6) That does not mean, however, that you should expect to be able to accomplish your goals without the fellowship and encouragement of your local church body or other one-on-one relationships with members of the body of Christ.
