Refunds

KCCHS does not refund membership dues, either in whole or in part.

KCCHS does not prorate membership dues.

A member should not expect a refund or proration of membership dues, as a result of their elective withdrawal or regardless of the date of membership. However, families who apply for membership, but who do not meet membership qualifications (e.g. alteration of statement of faith, etc.) will have their fees refunded.

KCCHS does not refund fees for field trips or any other activity arranged by KCCHS.

A member should not expect a refund as a result of their elective non-participation, whether or not they consider it avoidable on their part. Many activities have fixed fees that are either spent by the time you cancel or are fixed based on the size of an event. Your withdrawal may cause the group size to drop below a minimum student count or there may be insufficient fees available based on the pre-determined per student cost if a refund were to be granted. An exception will most likely be made when an event is canceled by the event coordinator and the fees are recoverable. These cases should be handled by talking directly with the event coordinator.

If you believe that your situation is an extenuating circumstance, you may petition the KCCHS Leadership Team in writing. Send your explanatory letter to the KCCHS Treasurer. After a refund request is received, it will be evaluated by the KCCHS Leadership Team, who will make a judgment regarding the amount of refund, which may range from no refund to a complete refund.
